Welcome to the ResetOK web site. This site is for people providing employment services and related support to offenders and ex-offenders in London. The London Advice Partnership hosts the site. In doing so our aim is to contribute towards the coherence of services designed to reduce re-offending by promoting the employability of ex-offenders.
The Government highlighted the importance of employability in reducing re-offending in its green paper “Reducing Re-Offending Through Skills and Employment” published in December 2005. In that document the Government introduced its plans for a new offender learning and skills service. The Offender Learning and Skills Service (OLASS) was established in London in the summer of 2006.
The London Advice Partnership (LAP) is responsible for providing OLASS Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) services in London. We offer a client centred approach, high quality standards and continuity of service right across greater London. We know that to be fully effective we need to work in close partnership with all the other providers engaged in this type of work. This web site not only voices our commitment to collaborative partnership working, but also provides resources to support that goal.
